John Okoroafor is a highly respected professional in the field of Petroleum Engineering, known for his transformative contributions to the petroleum industry in Nigeria and beyond. With over two decades of experience, John has consistently set new benchmarks in technical innovation, operational efficiency, and sustainable development across multiple continents.

John currently serves as Technical Services Director at TotalEnergies EP Norway, a role that reflects his trusted leadership and broad technical and managerial oversight within the organization. He has held several operational and managerial roles in his previous assignments in TotalEnergies in Nigeria, France, and Denmark.

John’s legacy is marked by groundbreaking achievements, including his pivotal role in a record-breaking deepwater development project in Nigeria, where his relentless pursuit of operational excellence led to the completion of a deepwater well in under 21 days and set new standards for drilling performance in the industry.

John is deeply committed to advancing sustainable energy and has promoted several carbon footprint reduction initiatives resulting in the elimination of gas flaring, reduction of fuel gas consumption, and responsible resource management for field life extension projects.

John holds a Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering and Project Development from the IFP School France and the University of Port Harcourt, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt.
